Corey Curran - Owner, Stylist, Special Occasion Stylist, Makeup Artist
Corey began her career in 2000 and has used the last 12 years growing as a stylist and a leader. She started educating with Bumble and Bumble and fell in love with the education side of the industry. After 11 years in the industry she decided to branch out on her own and in August 2011 Fashion Forward Salon was born. Being blessed with a team of friends that decided to join her in this journey, 2011 became the year that her career dreams came true. She travels to New York several times a year to keep all of her skills up to date. She has taken classes in Advanced Haircolor at Bumble University, and Temptu Make up classes, haircolor classes through J Beverly Hills and Kevin Murphy. Her goal is to make sure to always grow as a stylist and owner. With help from her devoted staff Fashion Forward Salon is always trying to grow and strives to make every client have the best experience possible!

Taff Gano - Stylist, Makeup Artist, Special Occasions Stylist, Wax Technician
Taff has been licensed since 2006. She joined Fashion Forward six years ago and has become a vital member of our team. She specializes in advanced razor techniques, clipper cuts, airbrush makeup, asymmetrical cuts and dimensional highlights. As a cutting director, Taff provides guidance and training on cutting techniques to stylists and participants of the salon's understudy and apprenticeship program. Advanced education is a top priority for Taff and she has been trained by some of the best in the industry. She has visited Bumble and Bumble in NYC to train in advanced hair cutting. She trained with Wella, Paul Mitchell, Kevin Murphy, J Beverly Hills and Schwarzkopf in advanced color techniques. Taff strives to give every client at Fashion Forward Salon a personalized experience.
Jessica Williams- Stylist, Lead Apprentice
Jess joined Fashion Forward in 2014 and completed our apprenticeship program. In 2018 she was promoted to lead apprentice where she manages and educates in that program. She is now one of our Stylist and showcases her talents with advanced color techniques, highlights, balayage braiding , lashes, spray tanning and special event styles. Jess is certified in babe lash, spray tanning, keratin smoothing, and has traveled to New York to train with Bumble and Bumble University. She has also taken advanced color classes with Kevin Murphy. Jess is devoted to our clientele and shows this by making them feel beautiful and comfortable in our environment.
Taylor Campbell - Stylist
Taylor started joined Fashion Forward October 2021 as a licensed stylist and went through our understudy program. She has continued her education through classes in our salon as well as classes at previous salons prior. Taylor specializes in long hair, baylage, and highlights. She communicates well with our clients to give them the best experience possible, and is devoted to making all clients feel beautiful and confident.
Kierstin Kestermann - Stylist

Kierstin graduated from Aveda Institute in 2019. She joined Fashion Forward in 2021 under the apprenticeship program and continues her education by attending Kevin Murphy classes. Being a curly girl herself, Kierstin loves working on curly hair as well as highlights and long hair. She strives to make all clients feel their best and most confident.

Lauren Smith - Front Desk Manager and Spray Tan Technician
Lauren started at Fashion Forward Salon in 2012 and moved into management shortly after. She prides herself on customer service and making sure that the clients are always taken care of. Lauren became a certified Spray Tan Technician in 2016. She has been praised about her talents at producing the most natural and safe tanning results for any skin tone.
Ainsley McGlassou - Salon Coordinator

Ainsley joined Fashion Forward Salon as a Salon Coordinator, March of 2022. Her interpersonal and socials skills are warm and welcoming. She puts clients wants and desires at a top priority and delivers exceptional communication to our salon and medspa team, providing great customer service. Ainsley started college in 2019 and is passionate about learning all things beauty.

Amanda Jedamski - Salon Coordinator

Amanda started as a client and became a part of the fashion forward team in fall of 2022 as a booking specialist. Amanda’s love for people, esthetics, skincare, and learning has led her to begin her education as an esthetician. When Amanda isn’t working in the salon, she is teaching group fitness classes and has a passion for helping people feel confident and healthy. She is always eager to welcome clients into the salon with her warm energy and a smile on her face, and she looks forward to expanding her client relations through esthetics in the near future.

Dr. Monica Kanal - Medical Director

Dr. Monica Kanal was raised in Front Royal, Virginia, and has since remained a native of the greater Northern Virginia area. She obtained her B.S. in Neuroscience from The College of William and Mary and her Master of Public Health from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. During her graduate studies, Monica’s focus on Environmental and Occupational Health led her to pursue a medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon completion, she moved to Washington, D.C., for an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Providence Hospital. Dr. Kanal gained valuable insight into global health issues and health disparities from her journey to Vietnam, Uganda, and Kenya as part of an opportunity in international mission work. Monica has since continued to apply her knowledge while providing primary care in an outpatient practice. Her experiences have molded and nurtured her interests in preventive medicine, occupational injury, and global health. She believes a physician is an advocate to help a patient achieve optimal wellness; patient education empowers the patient to make the best possible healthcare decisions.

Sarah Cowley- MedSpa Manager, Master Esthetician

Sarah is a Master Esthetician and a Certified Medical Assistant. She joined the field of esthetics in 2011 with a desire to care for clients skin by offering the highest quality treatments and home care regimens. She went back to school to become a medical assistant and now she is able to marry esthetics with her medical training. She has a history of working closely with dermatologists, assisting in routine visits, excisions, and Mohs surgery. To continuing her education Sarah regularly attends seminars, as well as classes and training. Sarah specializes in microdermabrasion, chemical peels, dermaplanning, microneedling, broadband light treatments, and creating personalized skin care regimens based on clients goals. Sarah loves going above and beyond for each client, making sure to provide them with a personalized experience.

Heather Callahan, PA-C
Heather Callahan is a dermatology physician assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and holds a medical license in the state of Virginia.
Heather is passionate about all facets of dermatology with extensive training and experience in general medical dermatology, surgical dermatology including Mohs, and cosmetic dermatology.
Heather is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in both Biology and Psychology. She then earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
Heather practices dermatology and aesthetic medicine full-time in Vienna, Virginia and recently combined forces with Fashion Forward MedSpa's Culpepper location to continue serving the greater Northern Virginia region. Prior to joining Fashion Forward, Heather worked in a private dermatology office in Warrenton, Virginia where she was instrumental in growing both the medical and aesthetic aspects of the practice. After she joined the practice in 2016 and each year for the following five years she practiced there, the clinic earned Best Dermatology Practice of Fauquier. Heather herself was nominated for Lifestyle Magazine’s 16th Annual Best Physician in 2021.With an artistic eye and skilled hands, Heather is especially enthusiastic about aesthetic medicine and is passionate about injectables, i.e. Botox and filler, as well as enjoys working with a multitude of laser platforms and medical devices. Renee Nusbaum - Esthetician
Renee graduated from Yvonne De Vilar Scientific Skin Care School and Dermal Institute in 2002 with an Esthetics Diploma, along with training in sugaring, waxing, spa therapy, facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, lash and brow tinting, as well as lash extensions. Working at Pr Partners for 17 years and Iva Bella Salon for 2 years, Renee gained valuable experience, and honed her skills to be an exceptional esthetician. Renee’s skill and attention to detail shines through with every service performed, taking the time to make sure the customer always feels comfortable, relaxed, and leaves the spa feeling more confident and beautiful.
